Live: Growing the Perfect Hibiscus

There is something about hibiscus that conjours up thoughts of tropical climates and holidays in the sun. Fortunately these beautiful blooms, which come in numerous varieties, are fairly easy to grow particularly if you live in warm and temperate climates. The best time to plant hibiscus is in the autumn in a full-sun position. They hate to dry out so regular watering, mulching and fertilising will keep them happy. Prune in mid-spring, once the risk of frost has passed and enjoy these beautiful blooms, some of which will bloom all year round.
