Escape: Dream Destination, Bali Hai- Far North Queensland, Australia

Nestled in the Daintree Rainforest on a secluded 80 acres in Far North Queensland is the beautiful Bali Hai private retreat. This beautiful Balinese inspired holiday home features four pavilions, a stunning infinity pool overlooking the rainforest and a fresh water creek at the bottom of the property.

The home is decked out with everything you need for a truly memorable holiday in the tropics, including open air showers, sunken baths and plenty of room for the whole family or up to three couples.

Close to Port Douglas and the Daintree River, there is so much to see and do in the area, however we found that all we wanted to do was very little – apart from lazing by the pool, gorging on tropical fruit and seafood and enjoying cocktails as the sun went down.

The rainforest surrounding the property is alive with all kinds of jewel coloured birds and bright, tropical blooms (and quite a few tropical creepy crawlies!) making it great to explore. You can take a picnic to the creek which runs through the property for a private lunch and dip in the cool, refreshing water.

It is a truly memorable place for a holiday and one we highly recomend. ELE top tip- the property while perfect for families with older children may not be as suitable for those with young kids as each sleeping pavilion is separate and requires you to walk outside to move between them. One of the pavilions has no walls at all, just beautiful sheer white curtain so you are essentially sleeping outside.
